Ghost Hunters to Help Library Users Research Hauntings

Salina Public Library’s Summer at the Library Program will feature a presentation from the Salina Paranormal Investigative Research Team (S.P.I.R.i.T) this Thursday evening.

Researching the history of a house in town is a perennial question at the library’s Information Services desk. Librarians help library users track down information on those that may have lived and died in their home over the years using materials like old newspapers on microfilm and the Kansas Room’s collection of City Directories.

This summer librarians invited S.P.I.R.i.T. to do an informative presentation on how to use library resources to research a potentially haunted location. Their presentation is free and open to the public.

The presentation Thursday night will be at the library in the Prescott Room from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The Salina Paranormal Investigative Research Team was formed in 2006 in Salina, and meets monthly. They perform all investigations free of charge.
